The sun scoop quarter cylinder pieces, also made of steel fiber reinforced concrete, tapered from 5 1/2 inches thick at the bottom to 3 1/2 at the top. The mix was so strong that these pieces could actually flex like a diving board without cracking.
The pentagons, hexagons, and half hexes required only two cement forms, although more were made in order to speed up production.
Once the dome part was assembled, the cylindrical garage section, which enclosed the garage along with two upstairs bedrooms, a bath, and the downstairs spa room, was ready for assembly.
