Pentagon, hexagon and half hex sections stitched together
Earth Sheltered Home
Each of the components was carefully lifted into place with a crane under the watchful control Neil Bailey (right).
Bolted together at the corners, they all came together into an extremely solid structure. Here the positioning of the pentagons, hexagons and half hexes can be seen. Special butterfly style edge connectors tie the entire structure together into a single unified whole. These connections were designed by Hait to stitch the pieces together using steel rebar and fiber reinforced grout to form a solid connection.
